Obama held his press event where he pushed for reinstating the "assault" weapons ban, called for a limit on magazine capacity and universal background checks for all gun sales, as well as signing 23 executive actions dealing with guns.
Something tells me Obama did not watch this clip from Reason TV beforehand:
