Mark Mattioli's son James was killed in the Newtown Elementary massacre.  Mr. Mattioli spoke in front of a gun violence task force this week in Hartford, CT.  Other parents of children killed also testified and, as you might expect, expressed a wide variety of opinions on the issue.

The point is not that Mr. Mattioli's opinion is the only one that matters just because it lines up with my or your perspective, but that not everyone associated with these horrible acts is a supporter of gun control.  But that's the impression we're left with by the media.  Other than Fox News, I couldn't find any video on the major news networks of Mr. Mattioli's testimony.  Even the Fox News video is edited and the link to the full remarks is currently broken, so there may be more to his tesimony than what you see below.  I'll post the full comments when they're avaialable.
