I've never been to Jamaica.  But based on people I know who have and the ads promoting the island I've gathered it's a very nice place to be (at least the touristey parts of it).  In fact, I think many people would say it makes you happy to be on Jamaica.  That's what they sell: an island attitude.

So now it's racist, black face with voices, to use that attitude to sell a car.  Manufactured outrage. But I'm not convinced the people outgraged over this highly offensive ad don't also have stock in Volkswagen.  Sure is a good way to get people talking.
